Know the inclusions.
FOB, CIF and DDP options can be discussed for your materials order. We confirm feasibility, the named port or place and the full scope before you commit.
| Option | Typical use | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| FOB | Sea or inland-waterway shipment, delivered on board at the named port of shipment. | Shipment port, buyer-arranged main carriage, destination costs and allocation of port charges. |
| CIF | Sea or inland-waterway shipment, with seller-arranged freight and insurance to a named destination port. | Insurance cover and destination charges. Risk transfers on board at origin, not on arrival. |
| DDP | Delivery to an agreed destination with seller responsibility for import clearance and applicable duties and taxes under the agreed term. | Local feasibility, importer arrangements, exclusions and final delivery access. Unloading is generally the buyer’s responsibility. |
Every destination needs a quotation
DDP is not available automatically for every country or product. Containerized shipments may require a different term, such as FCA, depending on handover arrangements. The contract should state the selected Incoterms® version and named place.
Consolidation, protective packing, storage and installation are included only where expressly agreed.
